What a nice peaceful photograph. I love the serenity of it. I think maybe that is what the place is for?

Nice place to sit. I never think of Berlin with a river or lake. How dopey am I! LOL

Grüsse...

berlin is the biggest city in germany and most of the old districts are really green. normaly the buildings are old and not higher then five storys. in the past (before 1989) the townsfolk of the western part had no chance to venture short trips for recreation. so the wall was the reason to build parcs, lakes, and canals for the "west-berliner".

:)

greetings...

thanks for :+fav: and the nice comments...

That sounds lovely! In an odd and bizarre way then, it was good to have the wall. Are you from West Berlin.. ? or did you grow up in East?

How strange it would be to have a city cut into like that. It's just plain weird!
my father was a german, my mother a japanese. I was born in mexico but grow up in a small town in the country of the western part of germany. later I visited the university in berlin.

I miss the country life!

What a lovely combination. Japanese and non-Asian makes such a wonderful combination! So you are a country boy. I thought you knew a lot about the tires and fodder.. :)

My husband is a country boy and that never quite leaves a person's psyche I believe. We lived in LA for a long time and are back here for a lot of the year.. in the land of farms, forests and lakes. You would like it here.
:)
